On Friday, March 3, the Israel Medical Mission Charitable Foundation took part in a discussion of the Model of Integrated Social Services for Women Combatants. The event was held at the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
The Model of Integrated Social Services for Women Combatants is currently being developed by experts from Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University with the support of the NGO Association for Social Development through Law. The model should take into account the problematic issues faced by Ukrainian female and male veterans during social adaptation to civilian life and provide solutions to these problems.
The Model of Integrated Social Services for Women Combatants presented at the meeting includes: implementation of a system for assessing the problems and needs of individual differentiated approach for women combatants seeking assistance; a system of service delivery that unites government services, non-governmental organizations, and veterans’ associations; a gender approach to the provision of social services; promotion of self-organization of women combatants and support for their activity; a system of training for social service providers to work with women combatants; and a system of training for women combatants.
