On February 20, 2023, a press conference was held in Kyiv on the topic: “Problems of care and social rehabilitation of people who have undergone amputations. Help from British doctors and philanthropists”. The event was co-organized by the Israel Medical Mission Foundation.
During the press conference, it was emphasized that due to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a large number of people have suffered from injuries and loss of limbs. They need help with prosthetics and rehabilitation. Other tasks include returning them to society and providing lifelong support. Among the top priorities is to find a product that will help people with amputated limbs return to full life and build a modern rehabilitation system. At this stage, the help of both British specialists and experts from other countries is needed.
The press conference summarized the results of a visit to Kyiv by a group of representatives of charitable foundations and medical professionals from the UK, which resulted in the signing of a memorandum of cooperation.
